Guilt Free
Developed with Unity3d and ink
Guilt Free is a visual novel crossed with a point and click made to offer perspective on mental health and eating disorders. Navigate a couple's rocky relationship and encounter flaws or quirks that may actually be symptomatic behaviors.
I started working on Guilt Free in September 2018. My goal was to spread awareness of eating disorders by letting players experience what life with bulimia may look like. In summer 2019, the project was joined by Erica Koplitz, who took on the artistic responsibilities. We then reworked the entire prototype and started the game almost from scratch, with an entirely new and much more solid concept.
The game was developed using Unity3D and ink for handling story branching and choices. I also made use of i2Loc plugin in order to localise the game into multiple different languages.
My role involved managing the project, leading the team of 6 people (artists and translators), development, game design, marketing and release management.
